Redefining the Art of Expression

Redefining the Art of Expression

Hello,

Hello,
I am Ranjan Choudhury

An entrepreneur, artist, dreamer, and storyteller. Born in the hills of Shillong, my life has been shaped by the landscapes I’ve seen and the stories I’ve lived. With over 500 oil paintings, I capture the colors and emotions from my travels, each piece reflecting a unique moment or memory.

Beyond art, my time spent in Assam’s tea estates and my work in community-building have shaped my perspective. The rhythm of nature and the connections I’ve made along the way continue to influence my work. Through my paintings, I aim to share not just scenes, but the experiences and lessons of a life well-lived.

I invite you to explore my gallery and join me on my ongoing adventures through my website, where every brushstroke tells a deeper story.

Through my art, I aim to bring life and emotion to every canvas I create.

My Poems

Moments, memories, and emotions, immortalized in verse.

Moments, memories, and emotions, immortalized in verse.

Do you remember

Do you remember

Do you remember

When you visit the places

of your youth when we

thought death was not for

us in these pristine hills

of pine trees filtering in

the soft light that made

spirits dance on the canopy

of grass with small red

flowers glistening joy

to our sanity helping

to overcome our fears

of the snake men who

snared little children

to offer in caves hidden

behind the waterfalls

on the edge of forests

hidden from the storms

their mighty snake Gods

cannot control...

I have come back many times

to these same hills to

show these secrets to our

children for them to wonder

why my times have been

forged in the silence

of the spirit lands and

how I still worship the

unknown contacts with the

spirits of the living dead

in the serpentine lanes

of Lewduh where the stalls

sold everything under the

sun and one who has been

there cannot ever forget

the smells on your clothes

that kindle your dreams

with happiness for the

forests are alive once more..
