I am Ranjan Choudhury, an artist with a passion for capturing the essence of places that have shaped me. Over the years, I have created more than 500 oil paintings, each inspired by the landscapes, rivers, and memories of places I’ve visited during my life’s journey. Born and raised in Shillong, my formative years amidst its serene beauty left an indelible mark, fueling my lifelong love for art.

Although much of my career was dedicated to managing my family’s tea estates, art remained my solace and calling. After retiring, I embraced painting full-time, bringing to life the vivid scenes and quiet narratives that had long inspired me.

Every stroke of paint and every snap of the camera reflects my journey—a collection of experiences, passions, and discoveries. Life is a series of fleeting moments, and through my work, I aim to preserve and share those moments with you.
